Sasha’s always with me as I write.
Purring, sleeping, keeping
Us warm day or night.
Taking up most of the space,
I see it in her small,
Soft, silent face.

Cooling playful, little feet.

The mothers’ tears descending her face,
Drenched with fear, pretending to erace
The broken heart that’s
Left in his place.

New house, new job, new baby.

On my Birthday I wish
For the kind of joy my father had.
That from now till the end,
In between the everyday problems,
There will be everyday Joy,
Peace and Contentment;
“Everything Zen in Twenty Ten.”
