Where was my soul
Before my birth,
When mother brought
Me to the earth?
Was it above
Upon a cloud,
Or in a King
Who was so proud?
I ponder this
Both day and night.
A curious quest
That bares no light.
I sort through myths
That make no sense.
I had beliefs,
But no defense.
Where goes my soul
When I am gone?
Philosophy
May be a con.
Perhaps it’s simpler
Than we think,
A flake of snow
On an icy rink.
Or a gentle wave
On a pleasant bay.
If truth be told,
That would be O.K.
